A descriptive look at up and coming rap music artists Cherish Paris.
I am proud to introduce
you to my first music artist of the year and my first female rap artist!
Sixteen year old Chitown rapper Eugena Green AKA “Cherish Paris”. Cherish was born and raised on the
north side of Cabrini Green in Chicago Illinois. When asked about how she
started rapping and when, she said “Rapping for me started off as a joke that I
just did to make laughs with my friends but now it’s something I take
serious because I know I have the skills and what it takes. I was 14 years old
and a freshman in high school.” Not only is Cherish a sixteen year old
rapper, she is also a mother of a beautiful 3 month old baby boy and is a hard
working student determined to finish high school. When asked who inspires her
and why Cherish gives a shout out to everyone grinding “anyone who is grinding
and working towards their dream I look up to because it’s not easy.”
cherish’s childhood wasn’t perfect but it made her who she is today. “My
child hood wasn't always good but I was able to cope with the hand I was dealt
I feel like without my past, I wouldn’t be here let alone rapping. I choose
rapping as my escape of all my worries and pain, rapping affected my music
because I talk about the things I been through in my life and how I’m getting
past all of it and making myself a better person.” There are a few
rap music artists Cherish Paris would like to work with and a few favorites she
has. “I would like to work with spenzo & chella h because they rap about whats real and have an open and free
mind. chella h was also a young mother like me while me and spenzo are the

favorite rappers are Drake and Meek Millz.
When asked about her future plans and goals for her music Cherish Paris says
“my goal is to get my name out more and make my fan base larger and I want
to succeed in being an all-around rapper.” When asked about what kind of a
message she wants people to know about her she says: “I would like the world to
know I’m coming so look out for me and tune in you won’t regret it!”
She also has an amazing message
for all the up and coming rappers and following their dreams: “ follow your
heart and stay true to who you are, never let anyone tell you, you can’t do it
and you have to be ready for a lot of letdown you have to be strong for the rap
game it’s no joke.” For me being a young female in love with rap music I never
had the guts, Confidence or strength to follow my dreams into rap music so to
see a young female going in to a mainly male based profession with such
strength and confidence truly makes me smile. Please take the time out of your
