A descriptive look at up and coming hip hop fashion designer Yung Mang and his brand Pilot Work Clothing.
This article will be a
first for me, we our broadening our horizon in to fashion! I’d like to
introduce you to 24 year old clothing designer Anthony Duwaun Fambro 11
AKA “Yung Mang”. Yung mang is
the owner and designer of “Pilot Work Clothing”; Pilot work clothing launched
in October 2013 it is a hip hop style of clothing that includes sweaters, pants
and T’s with this unique logo.
The logo represents the
slogan of the brand “Be fly, be you”. Its Yung as
a cartoon Pilot. When asked what it means to him he said “It’s just me being
fly, me being me as a pilot. Branding myself, being different and to set a
trend were people can be different and be there self.” Yung was
born in Columbus Ohio and grew up in Orlando Florida. When asked about his
childhood he said “I grew up not on the ruff ruff end but it still was a
struggle , I grew up with both of my parents being the only child I had
to learn responsibility at a young age , didn't really
fall for the peer pressure and i never followed any one or looked up to anyone
and I didn't like working for anyone , so I think that made me very independent
and self-made But my first couple jobs were customer service so i
was always into sales and marketing and had dreams of owning my own business
one day,” Yung got
in to design when he was 14. “I Probably started falling in Love With Fashion
my Freshmen year in high school my age 14 Plus i was tired of dressing like
everyone else , I just wanted to start my own brand and trend to be
different and still stand out while still being me.” Russell Simmons is
his favourite designer and Daymond John
inspires him. “how he started fubu ,
& what he has become today.” He has worked with “Tone Trump (A West Philly
artist) and drop (Orlando Artist) and he is working with up and coming
porn star “kimmy Olsen”
on launching her clothing line #TKO Collection in April of 2014.
Young also wants to work
with Currency. “I would love to work with currency and collab on his jetlife movement.”
Not only is Yung into fashion but he’s a song writer, writes poetry and does social
marketing. He plans to eventually expand in to fragrance, children's collection
, and expand and go global , have pilot work clothing in local shops all across
the world. Young Mang is a young entrepreneur on the rise with dedication and ambition
and extremely focused on being one the largest fashion designers worldwide. His
advice to up and coming designers is “ My advice to any upcoming fashion
designers is to believe and be great the sky is no longer a limit its just a
