This rap music artist I am going to introduce you to is 25 year old Mathew
Coleman AKA “Young Kaz”. Young Kazwas
born in Kissimmee, Fl, raised in Lineville, Al and is currently back
in Kissimmee, Fl. Kaz was about 15 or 16 when he started
rapping. “I used to write poems and had one of my good friends named Nikkya read
it and he thought that it was a rap. Told me to put it on a beat and record it.
He worked with me for a while and with practice I got better.” When asked
about his childhood and how it affects his music Kaz says “Well for 9
years of my life I lived in Alabama. I was into a lot of fishing and camping,
Also mud riding. At this time in my life I was a country boy and didn't even
like Hip Hop and Rap. My childhood in Alabama was simple. Went to school and
played football with the city league. When I moved back to Florida is when my
childhood got rough. I started hanging around the wrong people and started
getting into a lot of trouble with the law. Got into a lot of fights and
started selling drugs and robbing people. Met a special person a few years down
the road and decided that it was time for a change because if I kept going down
my route I was going to either end up dead or in prison. My life affects my
music a lot because I put my life into all my songs, also all my pain and
experiences.” When asked about inspiration Kaz gives all the
credit to his wife. “Really it was multiple people and things that inspire me.
My Wife really pushed me to peruse my music so I'm going to say that she
inspires me.” Young Kaz so far has worked with his manager
“jimmy Cruz” (follow Jimmy on twitter: Jcruzbvl407) and wants to work with his
favorite Rapper “Tech n9ne”. “I would really love to work with Tech N9ne.
The reason behind that is because I love his style and how he did it all on his
own, His own label and independently. The fact that he raps about how he really
feels about life and religion. He's an amazing artist.” Young Kaz has
been labeled “the bad guy” but he wants the world to know that it is possible
to change. “I used to be the bad guy but decided that the bad guy wasn't me at
all. Hence the song “Bad to Good”. I made a change and to the people that say
people can't change, you’re wrong because I did. I will always stay on my
G.M.S. (Grown Man Shit).” His goals for the future are to be able to do
something that he love’s and to share his love, pain, and life to the World
through his music. When asked what advice he’d give people trying to become a rap
music artist, Young Kaz said “I would tell them that if this is your
dream, then push it until you make it reality. Also learn how to accept
negative feedback along with the good. Experience and patients can take you a
long way in this world but drive and the determination to never quit can help
you open the doors.” Check YoungKaz out:
